Description: The West Indian province of Gujarat is well known of both hooked pile and chain stitch rugs, with traditions dating back centuries. Based on the color tones, we believe this to be an antique produced in the 1920's, which was also the opinion of our third party evalution, however we do not have leading us to believe it's an antique, however we do not have it's provenance. The knotting and color palette indicates the origin as stated. Condition: Condition consistent with it's age and use. There are a number of damaged areas, both in the body and along the edges, as well as some damage to the backing. There are multiple areas with signs of repair. Sku# LK3WGA
