19th C. Philippines Spanish Style Colonial Polychrome Carved St. Francis Statue

Description: Hand painted wood and plaster Spanish colonial statue of St. Francis of Assisi, possible produced in the Philippines. There is what looks like a makers mark pin plate on the underside of the statue. While it is our opinion and that of our third party evaluation, that this is an antique from the mid 19th C, we do not have it's provenance. Condition: Condition consistent with it's age. There is considerable wear and distressing to both the statue and the painted finish, with additional damage to the base and his right sleeve. His right hand is missing and there are a few cracks in the back of the statue.
