Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904–1989) mixed-media graphic print titled “The Mock Turtle’s Story,” from the Alice in Wonderland portfolio published in 1969.

Artwork combines color heliogravure with original woodcut remarques, based on Dalí’s original gouache composition. The composition includes fantastical creatures, dreamlike landscapes, and Dalí’s recurring skipping-rope figure of Alice.

Plate-marked/identified as Dalí and dated 1968 within the image. Includes original authentication from the Société de Vérification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale of New York and Paris for The Collector’s Guild, Ltd., identifying the work as an original mixed-media interpretation from the limited-edition Alice in Wonderland portfolio; certificate records Portfolio No. 1004.

Presented under glass with a wide mat and gold-tone accent liner in a metal frame. Certificate is retained on the reverse.
