Antique Buddhist Manuscript

Description: Antique Buddhist manuscript, circa 18th or 19th century. Sinhalese script in the Pali language from Sri Lanka on approximately 60 palm leaves, with a top an bottom cover painted in scrolling floral motifs. We believe this to be an antique based on our research, which was also the opinion of our third party evaluation, however we don’t have the provenance for this item. Condition: Wear and condition consistent with age and use. Some of the folios have cracked or broken and completeness of the manuscript is uncertain.
