🛏 Mattress Policy & Donation Options
Can I consign a used mattress at Miss Daisy’s?
Unfortunately, we cannot consign or sell used mattresses due to California regulations. Reselling used mattresses requires strict sanitation and labeling compliance, and we’ve chosen not to offer in-store mattress sales to avoid those complications.
So what can I do with my mattress?
1) Sell It Yourself
If your mattress is clean and in good condition (no stains, tears, or odors), you may sell it privately.
- Craigslist
- Facebook Marketplace
- Nextdoor
- OfferUp
- eBay (boxed/ship-ready)
2) Mattresses for a Cause (Donation Program)
We hate to see quality mattresses go to waste—especially when a local family could use one.
Eligible if:
- Very clean, free of stains or damage
- From a non-smoking, pet-free home
- Less than 5 years old
🟡 Please call ahead to confirm eligibility and storage capacity. Space is limited and approval is required.
Why do we have this policy?
Used mattresses involve health, safety, and legal concerns—especially for businesses. California law is strict for good reason. Our approach stays compliant while still helping the community through personal sales and vetted donations.
