Maker / Artist Details

Amado Maurilio Peña Jr. (born 1943) is an American visual artist and art educator of Mexican and Yaqui ancestry. He is associated with the Chicano Movement and works primarily in printmaking, often addressing Indigenous and Southwestern themes. Peña is recognized as an Artisan of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona and has exhibited nationally.
