Maker / Artist Details

Gerard Fitremann (often referred to as Fitro) was a French artist active in the late 20th century, recognized for surrealist portraits and landscapes. He shifted from master printer to focus on his own work around 1970, producing etchings, lithographs, and paintings that circulated in galleries and international fairs. The Cosmogony portfolio is part of his print-based practice and represents a notable example of his later artistic exploration.
