Marcel Mouly (February 6, 1918 – January 7, 2008) was a French painter and lithographer associated with the School of Paris. His work blends formal structure with vibrant color, often employing geometric forms and architectural compositions. After World War II, he studied with Jacques Lipchitz and lived at La Ruche, where he befriended Picasso and other leading modernists. Mouly received honors including the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (1957) and the Premier Prix de Lithographie (1973). His lithographs and paintings are held in major collections worldwide and are noted for their luminous palettes and precise, constructive compositions.
