Giovanni DeSimone Pottery Fish Plate is a circular ceramic wall plate featuring a hand-painted marine motif and rim-mounted hardware for display. From Miss Daisy's Consignment & Auction House, the piece has a high-gloss glaze; the left half shows a green fish head with a prominent eye, while the right half presents a multicolored abstract field enclosed by a chevron-like border.
Giovanni DeSimone was an Italian ceramic artist associated with mid-century pottery, known for hand-painted marine motifs. Many fish-plate works attributed to DeSimone were handmade in Sicily (Palermo) and signed.
