Maker / Artist Details

Cleo Teissedre (1930–2020) was a Navajo artist known for hand-painted pottery figurines, including Storyteller and Mudhead forms. She is described as self-taught and associated with the Navajo Nation; her pieces have appeared in auction listings and private collections. These miniatures reflect Teissedre’s practice of delineating storytelling figures in clay with individualized painting.
