Features a heavy glazed finish with a two-tone look: a brown dipped top/shoulder with a natural cream/beige lower body. The jar is described as holding approximately one imperial gallon.

Marked “S.R.D.” on the jar as part of the military designation. The base is described as typically ink-stamped or maker-marked by period British potteries.
